Subject: Volunteer Opportunity!

As many of you know, I am a science teacher out in Vail School District at Empire high school. We are having a Science Fair next Tuesday evening at our school, and we can use volunteers to help judge the projects.
What's involved?
5:30-6 come to my classroom to get some dinner and a rundown of the judging forms
6:30-end (usually around 8-9) interview students about their projects and give a grade according to a rubric that we provide
Most students whose projects make it to our science fair have spent several months on their experiments and background research. Some are really cool! The winners of Empire's fair will go on to compete in the Southern Arizona Regional Science and Engineering Fair and can win scholarships and prizes.
