The Village: Sept 8, 2003 Hello, Everyone! I am not at jury duty... Yay! So here’s the news: Derek and Cheryl are leaders of KidsVespers this week. The most recent sermon was on the subject of truth and accessibility... the 2 of you should get together and come up with a plan. You can download the sermon on the website. Speaking of website, if you haven’t signed on yet, or if the whole idea of posting your thoughts is terrifying, DO IT. It’ll make Russ happy. This week the Gospel Reading Group begins taking a look at church history. We’ll be reading selected stories about early church fathers and some of their writings, as well as discussing how the Bible was compiled. This will continue through October. Mon nights 7:30 @ Krysti’s. Tues, Sept 16 Dinner at the Seneca house. Be sure to invite your friends. Be sure to sign yourself and your friends up. The theme will be (drumroll, please) TACO SALAD. Lectures On Luther’s Spirituality returns from its long hyatus to the Seneca house on Sat, Sept 20. So far there’s no childcare, but I’m open to suggestions or volunteers. Belonging Service Sept 28 (for membership) Future note: Celtic Prayer and Gospel Reading Group will cease at the end of October, as may some other activities.
