The hope for repentance,
To have confessions on your lips,
But you would have none of that.
Vail threats reign out instead;
Threats to silence her again,
Threats to take her out,
Threats to proclaim her insane.
She is no longer a child,
No longer under the confusion of darkness,
But the child remains and trembles at times
Fearing your words of destruction
That you can take her out of this world.
She lives with roars of thunder,
Lives with tears of grief and mourning,
Lives with joy of God’s victory.
A new family has come
With new beginnings and a desire for life,
The taste of real love, for the first time,
Is upon her lips, and she is thriving off of it.
She will not go back to darkness,
Will not be silenced again,
Will not go down in despair;
She will live, cry, rage, mourn, rejoice
For the first time without fear of destruction. |
