I have been convicted by Eric's sermon that I do not ask for help very often. I am very adverse to asking for help, so I am here asking for your help in prayers. We still do not have a State Budget and it is nearing July 1. The Director sent out an email last week of everything that would shut down if there was no budget signed before July 1st; this including my job and almost everyone under me. We do not know if we will get paid on July 2nd, and if the budget lingers in not getting signed, we will loose our health insurance by July 10th. It has been really tough the last several months with pay cuts and furloughs, but this would be a large blow to thousands of people. The Governor has been threatening a goverment "Shut down" and this would be what would happen. I thank God for this gracious community that I am in that has helped me through these last several months; I am much more fortunate then many who work for the state who have lost jobs and homes over the cuts that have happened over these months. Please pray with me that a Budget would pass and the Governor would sign it. Please call your legislator and the Governor if you feel so inclined. Please pray that I will not loose hope and continue to help my workers who feel as I feel that the politicians are playing games with our lives. I have come to realize one really hard lesson; I truly have no control or power over any of this, but God does and He has been faithful for so long to me and many others. I know that a governmental shut down would effect others in our church, so please pray for them as well.
