(9/5/08) So we met the pediatric cardiologist today. They did an EKG and another Echocardiogram. And we do worship a God who HEALS!!!! His aorta no longer looks like it's thinning and the patent ductus arteriosis has closed! AND the ventricular septal defect (hole between the two ventricles) is so small that it will either close on its own, or it won't...and if it doesn't close it is so small that it won't effect him. So praise Jesus!!!! And thanks for your prayers for Bentley! Oh and one funny story- so the doc was talking to us about him...age, medical history, blah blah blah...and says, other than the heart , has he had any other medical concerns or issues. No. Like 2 minutes later... does he have down syndrome? Yes. That's considered a medical issue. Oh, yeah, that's right, our son has down syndrome! I guess that's when you realize you have totally accepted something and embraced it...when you forget that it's even a medical concern or issue!
