When you encounter something you don't like you have several options for response: (1) You can ignore what you have just seen/heard and forget it, (2) you can wrestle with it and chose to reject it - quietly, (3) you can address the issue with the appropriate person respectfully, and (4) you can address the issue with the approprate person with insult. Somewhere in that list we would also find such things as slander and gossip.
In the end we are all responsible for our actions, as well as for our words. Among brothers and sisters in Christ criticism should be constructive and helpful, not destructive and hurtful. When we speak (e-mail) to one another we should keep in mind whom we represent and whom we serve. I am convinced that if God had found our composition of this song embarrassing or too poorly made, He would have convicted us of that fact.
I am sorry our song does not meet your standard. Perhaps you could find a better way to put the Scipture to music. As for us, it works, and we have grown rather fond of the tune. Feel free to be sorry for your reaction to it.
