Do any of you, or does anyone you know, need a job? There is a need for a special ed assistant (someone working one-on-one with a student--so a child with a significant disability) here at Cross Middle School (Ina and Oracle area), and there are hardly any applicants. Please let me know and I will pass your info on to the sp. ed. teacher. No college ed required, but if you don't have a college degree, you will need to pass a basic skills test, and after the interview, there will be a background clearance (of course). Think outside the box: one of our longtime sp. ed. assistants has been a man in his late 60s (when he started)-early 70s (still going strong). This could be a deal breaker for some: school hours here are 7 a.m.-3 p.m. You would work from 7:20-2:35 with half an hour for lunch. The job includes benefits.
