She was admitted to the hospital yesterday, not breathing, apparently from a clot in her lung, apparently a complication from breaking her knee two weeks ago. It actually looked at first like she wasn't going to live. But she stabilized, and she will be in a drug-induced coma while the MDs have her on blood thinners. As of this a.m., there were complications from the blood thinners, swelling in the abdomen which they were going to operate on. No update yet on the outcome of this surgery. Sara is 43, married w/no kids, and not following Christ right now. Please pray for her spiritual protection and her husband's (I forget his name--sorry), as well as her medical recovery. Pray for Emily and Jeff, Jeff's brother Roger, and their dad and stepmom as they face this very uncertain situation.
